Boasting about own culture is not enough

The importance of preserving cultural values and traditions doesn’t rely on what we say. Rather need actions. Therefore, I’d like to share my thoughts on how we can preserve our culture as Chakmas.

Firstly, we must acknowledge the importance of our culture and the need to preserve it. We should take pride in our language, customs, and traditions and make an effort to pass them down to future generations.

One way of preserving our culture is by documenting it. We can write books, articles, and blogs about our culture, history, and traditions. This will not only help in preserving our culture but also in spreading awareness about it.

We can also organize cultural events and festivals to celebrate our traditions and values. This will not only help in keeping our customs alive but also in bringing the community together.

Another way of preserving our culture is by supporting local artisans and craftsmen. We should encourage them to continue their traditional practices and buy their products.

Lastly, we should make an effort to teach our children about our culture and traditions. We should encourage them to learn our language, participate in cultural events, and understand the significance of our customs.

In conclusion, preserving our culture as Chakmas requires a collective effort. We must take pride in our culture, document it, celebrate it, support local artisans, and pass it down to future generations. Let us all make a conscious effort to preserve our cultural values and keep our traditions alive.
